Meet Edenlab at EHRCON26 at the Meervaart Theatre in Amsterdam on September 22-23, 2026. The two-day conference brings together clinicians, health data scientists, researchers, healthcare leaders, and technology vendors to examine how open standards are shaping digital health. This year’s program covers interoperability, patient-centered care, sustainability, the European Health Data Space, and the growing role of agentic AI.

Edenlab will contribute to the official program through a presentation by Jan Vekemans, Sales Director at Edenlab:

Connecting the clinical record to the wider data ecosystem
openEHR provides a durable foundation for structured, clinically rich longitudinal records. In practice, the clinical repository sits within a much wider environment. Laboratories, payers, pharmacies, external providers, patient applications, registries, research platforms, and national infrastructure may use FHIR® APIs to exchange and access data.
Jan’s session will address the architectural decisions that connect these environments. The approach keeps openEHR as the clinical system of record while a FHIR-native data layer exposes selected information through standardized APIs, receives and validates data from external systems, manages mappings and terminology, and provides a dedicated FHIR repository where separate persistence is appropriate.
The presentation will then follow the data beyond exchange. By combining mapped openEHR data with FHIR, laboratory, claims, and other connected sources in a longitudinal analytical model, healthcare organizations can support cohort exploration, patient-pathway analysis, and natural-language questions. Governance remains part of the query path through role-based access and auditable links back to source data.
Meet Edenlab in Amsterdam
Join Jan’s session to explore how openEHR, FHIR, and conversational analytics can work together in one healthcare data architecture. Edenlab will also be available during EHRCON26 to discuss interoperability, mapping, terminology, analytics, and AI-ready health data infrastructure.
